Feedback provided to the tutee: Since Je-Ah is still a beginner student, I mostly focused on encouraging her to speak and explaining/modeling words/structures she didn't understand.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: We started the session with an online game of storytelling/drawing (Gartic phone), which I thought was good for loosening the ice and also practicing writing skills. It would be more fun with more people. I also started taking notes in a Google doc which she could see; this helped because I was able to start writing down sentences for her and modeling them/explaining them. I think this helped her not feel helpless when listening, as the explanation is present continuously. Overall we had more than enough material going over some ESL questions related to friends; at first I had her ask me the question, then vice versa, but then I switched to answering/modeling first to help her.
